چکیده
Background: Choreographic group-based fitness classes are the most common type of physical activity practiced by women, being a viable and sustainable strategy to improve general health. Thus, aim this study was analyze effect 16-week healthy lifestyle program, based on choreographic classes, cardiometabolic health-related anthropometric indices metabolic blood profile among overweight sedentary women. Methods: A total 50 (Body Mass Index = 27.68 ± 1.19 kg/m2) middle-aged women (39.73 7.41 years) were randomly assigned an experimental exercise group structured (CFC) with Zumba Fitness program (3 days/week; 60 min/session) (CFC 30) or non-exercise control (CG 20). The (waist circumference, waist-to-height ratio, body shape index, conicity abdominal volume adiposity index), pressure, glycemia, lipid [triglycerides (TG), cholesterol, Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL), High (HDL)] evaluated pre- post-intervention. Results: 40 participants competed pre/post measures. Post-intervention, CFC (n 25) presented significant improvement in all as well TG, HDL, LDL compared CG 15). Conclusion: could significantly

Background and Objective: Orexin is an orexigenic peptide and is present in the form of A and B in the blood. Orexin neurons respond to a number of metabolic signals that indicate the body's energy status. This study was carried out to evaluate the effect of six weeks of aerobic training on orexin level, insulin resistance and anthropometric indices in overweight women. Materials & Methods: In...
متن کاملAppropriate anthropometric indices to identify cardiometabolic risk in South Asians.
BACKGROUND South Asians show an elevated cardiometabolic risk compared to Caucasians. They are clinically metabolically obese but are considered normal weight based on current international cut-off levels of several anthropometric indices. This study has two main objectives: (i) to predict the most sensitive anthropometric measures for commonly studied cardiometabolic risk factors, and (ii) to ...
